LTS Scholarships

How can YOU financially afford a seminary education?

Without exception, your first option should always be applying for scholarships.

Lancaster Seminary offers need-based tuition scholarships to those who qualify and are enrolled in the Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Religion programs. Complete the financial aid application even if you do not intend to apply for a student loan or believe you will not qualify for a need-based tuition scholarship. The only cost to you is time, and the reward is the likelihood that you will receive scholarship funds that can greatly reduce the cost of your tuition. Both full-time and part-time M.Div/MAR students (enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per semester) may qualify for an LTS Scholarship.

Our merit-based Presidential Scholarships covers nearly full tuition for 3 years of full-time M.Div. study. Presidential Scholarships are granted based upon grade point average from undergraduate and/or prior graduate studies, active participation in the life of the church and promise for ministry upon graduation.

For our Doctor of Ministry students, there is limited scholarship funding. As with our other need-based scholarships, students must apply each year to be considered for these funds.

Student debt is a harsh reality, and while student loans may be a necessity while attending seminary, you should always borrow the least amount possible. As such, Lancaster Seminary is committed to providing scholarship funds to help defray financial costs while you are a student striving to realize your vocational goals in ministry.
