Our certificate in Theological Studies is designed as a 1-year program for full-time students or as a 2-to-3-year program for part-time students. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required for admission to the certificate program. Academic credits earned are transferable to one of our master’s degree programs (some restrictions apply).

Earn Your Certificate in Theological Studies

  • In one-year of full-time study
  • In two or three years as a part-time student

Complete 18 Credits (the equivalent of six 3-credit courses)

  • 3 credits in Biblical Studies (Biblical Interpretation, Old Testament or New Testament)
  • 3 credits in Church History
  • 3 credits in Theology
  • 3 credits in Practical Theology (Religious Education, Pastoral Leadership, Pastoral Theology, Spiritual Development, Worship, Preaching, or Youth Ministry
  • 6 credits of electives

Academic credits earned are transferable into one of our Master’s degree programs

For students who hold a baccalaureate degree (some restrictions apply)

Note: students in the certificate program are not eligible for student loans or scholarship funding.

Tuition

Tuition is charged on a per-credit basis.
The 2023-24 rate is $756 per credit or $13,608 for al required 18 credits.
