Academic Year at Lancaster Theological Seminary

Semesters and Terms 

An academic year at Lancaster Seminary is comprised of two main semesters: Fall Semester and Spring Semester.

Fall Semester is comprised of two terms:

Summer II Term, between July 1 and August 31, usually offering intensive (meeting every weekday day for a period of time), on-line or hybrid courses or workshops.
Fall Term, 14 weeks of courses that meet once or twice weekly, usually beginning the first week in September through mid-December.

Spring Semester is comprised of three terms:

January Term,  3 full weeks after January 1, usually offering intensive courses (meeting every weekday day for one-, two- or 3-weeks) or workshops.
Spring Term, 14 weeks of courses that meet once or twice weekly, usually beginning the last full week in January through mid-May.
Summer I Term, between mid-May through June 30, usually offering intensive courses (meeting every weekday day for one-, two- or 3-weeks).
