In person in Santee Chapel and live-streamed online, our Lancaster Seminary community will gather in prayer and song for the ceremonial opening of our 198th Academic Year.

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Nathan D. Baxter (MDiv 1976, DMin 1984), will deliver the convocation address, “Being Doers of the Word: Identity, Institution and Integrity in Ministry.”

The service will be live-streamed on the Lancaster Seminary YouTube channel.

Convocation will honor Dr. Baxter, who retired in June as senior adjunct professor, and Dr. Julia M. O’Brien, the Paul H. and Grace L. Stern Chair in Old Testament Studies, Professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, and Director of the Master of Arts in Ministry & Leadership program, for 25 years of service on the LTS faculty.
