Tiny Buckets, Big Harvests: Dig into a Micro Gardening Adventure at Moravian University, Lancaster
In the heart of Lancaster, home of history and creativity, an innovative workshop is set to sprout.
“Micro Gardening in a Bucket,” a hands-on adventure, is planned for July 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This special program isn’t just another gardening class—it’s a green-thumb revolution presented by Moravian University at the scenic Lancaster Theological Seminary campus (555 West James Street, Lancaster).
Join Shauna Yorty, Lancaster horticulturalist and luminary of sustainable living, as she reimagines ordinary buckets into lush, salsa-ready garden spots.
“Sustainable gardening is more than cultivating plants,” says Yorty. “It’s about nurturing a resilient ecosystem in our community, where every choice we make today blooms into a healthier, greener world for generations to come.”
From tiny seeds to juicy tomatoes, guests will master the art of cultivating their own garden-fresh ingredients. They’ll also have the opportunity to create and take home their very own micro garden.
This free, all-ages workshop is a pathway to sustainability and is limited to the first 25 who sign up for the event.
With all the items provided, the only thing you need to bring is your enthusiasm.
