Diet in the Light of the Cross

Sep 11, 2014 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM

Professor of New Testament Dr. Greg Carey kicks off the Samaritan Center's 2014 Church Leadership series fall programs with a Sept. 11 breakfast talk: While We're Eating: Diet in the Light of the Cross, the first of four talks exploring Paul's Theologizing.

The Sept. 11 program, held from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd., Lancaster, considers the New Testament's second greatest conflict: what Christians may eat, and Paul’s response as illustration of how leaders may reason from core convictions to address broader issues. Greg explains, “We encounter Paul as a leader who is doing the very same thing we do every day: facing new questions with the basic resources of the gospel.”

This joint program of the Samaritan Center and Lancaster Seminary is for ORDAINED AND LAY LEADERS OF CONGREGATIONS.
