Dr. Catherine E. Williams joined the Lancaster Theological Seminary faculty July 2017. Dr. Williams, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, comes to us from both the academy and the church. She earned a PhD in Homiletics from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2017. Her dissertation focused on developing a distinctive, post-colonial homiletic for Trinidad and Tobago rooted in the indigenous music of calypso. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree. An accomplished musician, she is a teacher of piano and voice. Her teaching experience also includes serving as a graduate instructor and teaching fellow at Princeton Seminary and as an adjunct professor at Palmer Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree. Dr. Williams' ministerial experience includes serving as Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care at Princeton United Methodist Church.
