Kim R. Smith of the Lancaster law firm Barley Snyder has been elected to the Lancaster Theological Seminary Board of Trustees. Smith, who has worked in both public education and higher education, is a member of Barley Snyder’s Education Law and Employment groups.
Rev. Carol E. Lytch, PhD, president of Lancaster Theological Seminary, said, “As both an education law attorney and a former educator, Kim Smith brings to our Board extensive experience and insight in understanding and serving educational institutions.”
Smith has a law degree, magna cum laude from Temple University, a master’s degree from The Ohio State University, and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio’s Muskingum University. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Lancaster General Health and Lancaster General Hospital, and a member of the LGH Foundation Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute Development Committee. She is a past president of the Lancaster Bar Association.
