Lancaster Seminary Professor Lee Barrett will deliver the opening address Oct. 27 at Villanova's international conference that was inspired by Barrett's recent book, Eros and Self-Emptying: The Intersections of Augustine and Kierkegaard. The two-day conference, "Kierkegaard, Augustine, and the Catholic Tradition," is open to the public and features lecturers from the University of Glasgow (George Pattison), King's College, London (Clare Carlisle), Notre Dame University (Cyril O'Reagan) and Syracuse University (John Caputo).
Dr. Barrett, the Mary B. and Henry P. Stager Chair in Theology, and Professor of Systematic Theology at Lancaster Seminary, delivers the opening plenary address on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 9:00 a.m. The conference will be held in the Connelly Center Cinema, no. 9 on the map of the Villanova main campus.
