Featuring Professor of Old Testament, Dr. Julia O'Brien, the four-part Thursday series, presented in partnership with the Samaritan Center, kicks off with breakfast and discussion on April 24 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
The breakfast presentation topic is What the Bible Really Means (To Me).
Julia explores how people's experiences shape how they interact with the Bible, why some are resistant to new ways of reading the Bible, and what's at stake for them and the church in the way they interpret the Bible.
Don't miss Julia's subsequent 3 presentations in May:
Thursday, May 8 - Finding Ourselves in the Bible
Thursday, May 15 - The Bible & Trauma (Part 1)
Thursday, May 22 - The Bible & Trauma (Part 2)
The May presentations take place on the Lancaster Seminary campus, Room 109, Richards Hall, from 8-9:30 am.
